13 Personal Questions TAG

Hiya!

Today I thought I'd do the 13 Personal Questions TAG because I read that the lovely Becca of The Trinket Box did it the other day and it seemed like a really good tag. There were some great questions on there, and even though I wasn't tagged by Bec herself, I guess I'm sort of tagging myself (hope you don't mind Becca!) If you are unfamiliar with The Trinket Box, it's one of my favourite blogs on here to read, there's always fresh content about fashion and beauty, and if you like this blog, you will definitely love The Trinket Box.

Anyway, on with the TAG!

What do you order at Starbucks?
I'm one of those bghhb
oring people who always orders the exact same thing when I go to Starbucks- a double shot iced cafe latte and then I add about four sugars. I went yesterday and got just that! In the Winter though I do change it up a bit- I have a non iced latte! Only kidding, I have the Eggnog latte, which is amazing, and then occasionally I have hot chocolate. I never really go for the fruity stuff or the frappuchinos, but I did try a mocha one once and it was really nice.

What is the one thing in your closet that you can't live without?
I can't live without the majority of the items in my wardrobe! I'd proabaly say jeans becuase I own many pairs of high waisted, low waisted, skinny, straight leg, dark wash, light wash jeans, and getting rid of my jeans would basically be getting rid of half of my wardrobe. Also, even on a lazy day when you haven't washed your hair and are wearing no makeup, if you put on a pair of jeans you can look half decent!

What is one thing most people don't know about you?
I don't really have any secrets, so I will just tell you one random fact: I love watching trashy American reality TV. Dance Mom, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Honey Boo Boo. Anything on E!, Lifetime or TLC.

What's the one thing you want to do before you die?
Before I die I'd love to go over to Africa and help out in a school there. It's something a lot of people want to do, but I am pretty serious about it, and since my Dad was born there and I have family over there its a lot easier for me. I think I will go just before university for a bit, maybe teach some children English and make a difference n their lives.

What's one food you can't live without?
Cheese! I think this is a really intelligent and logical answer because cheese is so versatile. Just imagine cheese toasties without cheese. Pizzas without mozzarella. Spag bol without parmesan. The world would be bare without cheese.

What's one quote that you live by?
"It always seems impossible until it's done" by Nelson Mandela is my little motto. It tells me to keep on trying challenges and to never give up, and then once they're done I can look back on myself and feel proud. I particularly used that quote when I first started blogging. It told me to keep going, because when I am older I can look back and say "Yes, I did something with my life as a teenager", which I don't think many people can say.

What do you like and dislike about the YouTube/ Blogging community?
I love the fact that people are so open and friendly. Literally a week after I started blogging, I found I wasn't talking to myslef anymore and that people had reached out to me, which I really appreciated. I have amde so many lovely friends in this little community, and I never wan to stop blogging ever. To be honest, I don't actually have any negatives to say at all, because I haven't ever encountered anything bad and hopefully that won't change!

What kind of style would you describe yourself as having?
I wear what I want to wear, sometimes it's on trend, sometimes it's not. I mean, it's hard to have an individual style whilst shopping at H&M and TopShop, but I definitely try to stick out a little bit by shopping at vintage shops and charity shops as well. I can't really put myself into a specific style, because it changes every day. Like yesterday my OOTD was ripped jeans and converse, and today it's a little flowery dress from Oasis! I tend to wear clothes that make me happy, no matter what style or brand.

What's your number one song on your iPod?
Well that's tricky! I checked on my iTunes and my top 5 most played are

  1. Sun Is Shining Bob Marley
  2. Don't Stop 5 Seconds of Summer
  3. Gecko Oliver Heldens
  4. All That She Wants Ace of Base
  5. West Coast Lana Del Rey
So yeah, as you can see, a pretty diverse mix. I also love a bit of R&B too!

Favourite number?
9

Two hobbies?
Blogging and DIY

Two pet peeves?
Chipped nail polish. I'm not even kidding, it gives me nightmares. Also I hate it when people scrape their feet on carpet and astroturf! The sound that it makes makes me feel really ill!

Your guilty pleasure?
I have loads! I'm going to have to say 90's dance music because I think it's ace and I have all he compilation albums. Also Miley Cyrus, because even with all the VMA antics etc, I actually really like her music, especially Wrecking Ball and SMS (Bangerz)

So that was the 13 Personal Questions tag, I am actually posting this a day after I wrote it because I had some WiFi problems last night, but I hope you guys don't mind!

See you in my next pot!

Lots of Love

Summer Journal #10 What's In My Handbag

Hiya!

It's a little bit early today with this post, but I thought I'd get it out of the way because I think I'm going out to Starbucks with my friends. We're going to the one in town, and usually I'd do some shopping and write a little haul, but I'm practically penniless so it would have probably been a very tiny haul. However, I didn't want to just take pictures of my double shot iced cafe latte (yum) and I was about to sort out my handbag when it suddenly hit me.

Do a What's In My Handbag.

Now I've seen these done on YouTube and on blogs about  a million times before, but I've never done this before, so I though I'd give it a go!

My handbag is from Accessorize and cost around £45. I really love the floral design as I can use it year round (not that I do, obviously, I have an obsession with handbags). It's also rather large and roomy, so I can fit my whole house into it easily. There is a big main area, then two small phone/iPod pockets and also a larger zip pocket.

As you can see there is a lot of space in this bag.

The first thing I like to keep in my bag is an umbrella. Living in England you never know when it will rain so an umbrella is an essential. Mine was £2.99 from B&M bargains and is a lovely pink colour and has a pretty welly boots design. I always carry a compact umbrella like this because it fits in any bag I'm carrying unlike a traditional long one.

The next thing in my bag is my bus pass wallet. I've taken my bus pass out for privacy or whatever, but this is what it looks like. It's from Primark and I bough it a few weeks ago for £1. The London bus print is really cute, and the wallet easily holds my bus pass and my weekly ticket if I'm getting the bus that week. I like to buy a weekly ticket instead of one every journey, because where I live it's only £5 for under 18's and you get unlimited travel which is so much cheaper. Also, I don't need to faff around with my purse and find coins, I can just whip out my little wallet. Chances are, I'm standing at the bus stop at 7;15 am in the pouring rain, carrying an umbrella, a handbag and an A2 art folder, so I really don't want a faff.

This is my blogging notebook! Isn't it lovely with its lovely leather cover and it's beautiful spiral binding... I carry this book of inspiration everywhere, on the bus, on the train, in bed, wherever... I use it to jot down ideas of new blog posts to do, I write down tag questions and I plan DIYs. It helps me to stay organised with my blog and I don;t know what I'd do without it!If you are a fellow blogger YOU MUST GET ONE OF THESE! They will help you so much ,just somewhere to write down what's in your head!

These pencils aren't really supposed to be here. I think I left them in my bag the other day when I bought them.

These are my sunglasses. I got them from Specsavers last year, and they were my fist pair of Prescription sunglasses! I'm short sighted so I usually just fumbled around wearing normal sunglasses from Claire's which made my eyesight worse, but then my Mum finally let me get these. They are Tommy Hilfiger and usually retail at around £150, but I love the frames because they are not too big or too little. Also I know that they will keep my eyes safe from the sun becasue they came with added UVA and UVB protection.

Another thing I like to keep in my bag are some spare glasses, just in case the ones I have on break or get scratched or whatever. These are from Firetrap and cost about £130, however at my opticians they had a buy one get one half price thing going on, so I got them for half price. I love the tortoiseshell frames, and I do think that this style of glasses looks good on anyone.

My purse is by Fiorelli at Debenhams and cost £25. At the time of purchase, I was really pleased as I thought that the quality would reflect the otherwise quite expensive price, but now I can say that I do regret paying so much. As you can see, the colour from the corners is rubbing off, which makes me sad. To be honest, the quality isn't any better than a purse from say, Primark, which could cost so much less. It is a nice purse though, in one of my favourite colours and it has lots of space for cash and cards.

I always like to carry an Impulse spray in my bag, just so that I can freshen up throughout the day. The one I've got currently is Tease, which smells so fresh and fruity. I don't tend to wear really heavy scents, especially not in the Summer, so a nice light floral perfume is great. You can pick these up anywhere for between £1-£2.

Hand cream is an essential for me, because my hands get dry so often! Also I paint my nails a lot, soon those rare days when I'm nailpolishless, a handcream really is a must for nourishing my nailbeds. The one I've got today is by Boots Botanics, and is inspired by Kew gardens. It comes in a handy 50ml size so I can fit it in the tiniest of bags and retails at a reasonable price of about £2.50.

A pen is essential to life. If you don't have a pen in your bag, you need to have a serious word with yourself, because there is something wrong with you. What if you need to write down a phone number, scribble a shopping list, or WRITE IN YOUR BLOGGING NOTEBOOK! Seriously though, I always have a pen in my bag, nothing fancy, but just an ordinary black biro (I can't write in blue).

This is my teeny tiny pouch with a few beauty things that I like to take with me. It's from Istanbul hence the name, and I think that it's really pretty.

The first thing in ma pouch is a lip, because you always need a lipbalm in your life. This one is the Nivea Pure and Natural and it tastes of milk and honey, which is an added bonus.

If you wear or have ever worn braces like me, you will know what a tedious thing they are. How much work must I do to get perfect teeth! This is an interdental brush that I use when I'm eating out, just to make sure I don't have anything stuck in my teeth, because that would be embarrassing.

Again, another piece of dental equipment, braces wax. Whenever you get a sore gum you can just stick a piece of this over your brace, and voila, you're all good! I can't wait till next year when I can put all this stuff in the bin! Yay!

Another lipbalm. I keep this in my little bag in case I want to spice up my look with a little bit of colour on my lips. I did a review on the BabyLips balms, and you can find that here

I always have a concealer in my bag because you never know when you will break out. I like this concealer because it blends in well and is quite light. Also it was only £2 from Boots, and you guys know how much I love a bargain! I never carry the full make up kit i.e foundation, mascara, blush, bronzer etc. but I do tend to have concaler and sometimes a powder, but I usually only bring powder when I'm at school.

This is the last little pocket!

I have my earphones because I'm constantly listening to music! I get the bus a lot, so I definitely need something to keep me occupied. I don't actually have an iPod because all my music is on my phone, which is the iPhone 4S, nut in the future I will definitely invest in an iPod because my phone doesn't have much storage. Its the 16GB, which sound like a lot, but I have about 800 photos, and 600 songs, and I don't think I will be able to fit much more on it! I've been thinking about doing a Music Favourites post so let me know if you guys would like that!

The second to last thing I keep in my bag is a nail file. I don't think I even need to explain myself because as you probably know I'm a nailoholic! I showed this nail file in a haul last week, so click here to see the post and get the details!

Last but not least I have my USB stick. It is the 32GB model and holds all my photos, my school work and some blogging stuff. I like to keep it by me at all times, just in case! I definitely wouldn't like to loose it!

So that was a long post, I hope you enjoyed seeing what exactly is inside my handbag. I'm going to head out now, and I will see you guys later!

Lots of Love

Budget Beauty Review: Pretty™ Blueberry Pie Nail Polish

Second post of the day today, hope you aren't getting too annoyed!

I've been meaning to test out this new nail polish that I acquired whilst shopping in Poundland the other week. It was quite exciting because I've never tried out this brand before and I am a lover of bargains so a large 13ml bottle of nail polish for only £1 made me very happy. However, it's all well and good buying the product, cheaply but does it do what it's meant to do? Well that's what I tried out today.

I decided to do a simple sparkle French manicure using the polish and these were my results:

  1. Brush The brush is of a good size, similar to the Barry M brush, but maybe a little larger. It is not as wide as the OPI brush that the bottle resembles. I found that I could coat my nails evenly with 2-3 strokes, which I think is very positive as many other higher end nail polishes do not do that.
  2. Coverage No streaks! I was pleasantly surprised as I could achieve almost opaque results with only one coat. There are very few nail polishes on the market that offer this type of flawless coverage, but none for only £1. To make the nail completely flawless, I would probably do 2 coats, but seriously, one is enough.
  3. Drying Amazingly, this polish didn't take a lot of time to dry either. It took around five minutes to dry completely, although I would be careful as it smudges very easily during this drying process.
  4.  Smell The smell of the varnish is pretty nasty at first so make sure to do this in a well ventilated area. The packaging claims to have a Blueberry Pie smell, which apparent maybe 3 minutes into the drying process. The smell is really nice, and actually smells of blueberry pie, but unfortunately the smell does fade throughout the day.
Overall verdict
I would give this product 4 out of 5 stars because you definitely get what you paid for with this product. One thing I would have lived would be a wider brush, but I know that for the price I paid, what it came with was sufficient!

What Bargain Beauty product should I review next?

Summer Journal #9 WHERE HAVE I BEEN and Jam Tarts

Long time, no see you guys! And I have to say I have missed you all tremendously. I've been itching to blog for days now, but I was quite ill, so unfortunately that wasn't possible. I am really sorry though, so I will fill you in about what happened these pat few days. To be honest, even if I did blog, you would have been bored to death, because practically all I did was lay in bed feeling sorry for myself, and take ill SnapChat selfies. However, I'm back in the game now, the holidays are in full swing and today I actually changed out of by black jogging bottoms (Ok, well I'm wearing grey ones today, but still). I got busy in the kitchen and made myself a yummy snack of Jam Tarts!

Mmmn doesn't this just look fabulous!

My Jam Tarts tasted amazing (I say tasted because they are all gone!). They were super easy to make and I managed to conjure up these beauties in less than half an hour.

I did cheat a little bit in that I used frozen short crust pastry, which I defrosted in less than ten minutes using the defrost function on my microwave.

I then rolled out the pastry with a little flour before cutting out circles using a scalloped biscuit cutter. These pastry circles were then placed in a bun tin that was lightly greased with butter, and blindly baked for ten minuted on a temperature of 180 degrees C.

After ten minutes I took out the pastries and spooned a nice healthy dollop of jam in the centres. I used a variation of two different jams : some Hartley's 'bitless' jam, and then some fresh traditional strawberry jam from a nice farm shop.

The heat was turned up on the oven a bit to 200 degrees C and then the tartlets were baked for a further 7 minutes.

Yay!

They're done!

I left them to cool a little before eating because that jam was sooo hot! But once they are a little colder they taste absolutely fantastic!

The final three. Look at those crumbs!

Close up of the lovely nutririous jam
I hope you enjoyed this post and do let me know if you want to see more baking posts.

See you soon!

Summer Journal #5 Playgroup and OOTD

Hello again!

How are you all, and how were your evenings yesterday? Did you get up to anything productive or useful? I didn't. I just abandoned my cleaning efforts and went down and watched last Sunday's Catchphrase that I had recorded (I just love that show!)

Today though, I was very good and did a good deed for the community by volunteering at my local church's playgroup. I do this whenever I can, but since it's often on a Tuesday morning, whilst I'm at school, I do find it hard to make time for it. However, I do love helping out, and especially adore the little children, whose ages range from newborn to three years old. I make tea for the mothers, put together little snack platters for the babies and help to tidy up afterwards. It's really good fun, and I've met some lovely people and some adorable babies, so I would definitely recommend volunteering. You get such a lot out of it, and you are actually benefiting some people's lives, so what's not to love.

Unfortunately, because of privacy and consent etc. I didn't get to take any photos, but I did do an Outfit of The Day,which you can see below:

Sorry about the appalling photo quality there. My camera isn't the greatest.

My top is from Stefanel and is a sort of tie dye print, which I love. It's kind of quirky and original and I love the flowy sleeves. It's also just the right length as it it reaches just past my belly button so I usually team it with high waisted shorts or trousers.

My jeans are a dark wash high waisted jegging from Liverpool Jeans Company. Unfortunately despite the name, they do not have any stores in the UK and I had to have mine shipped over from Nordstrom. To be honest, I do think it was worth it because they are really comfortable, good quality and are a very nice design. If you are in America though, they sell this brand at Nordstrom and Dillards.

My sandals are from Primark and I think I showed them in a mini haul a few days ago. They are still in and cost £4 pounds! They are comfortable, I love the style and fit and would definitely repurchase.

So that was my day today, hope this wasn't too short for you! See you tomorrow afternoon!

Lots of Love
Eva

Summer Journal #4 Cleaning Up and Beauty Blogger Tag

Hi guys so today it's Monday and I'm home alone!
I decided to have a productive day today, so I started by cleaning my room since it looked like a pig sty. I'm actually not done yet so I'm just using this precious time as a little break so that I can do a bit of blogging. You're probably getting bored of these Summer Journals because I'm not really doing anything excititng, but please hang n there as I promise it will get a bit more exciting! But, since I didn't wnt to bre you that much today, I though I would do the Beauty Blogger Tag!
So let's get to it!
Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
My hair is an afro, so yeah it's VERY curly. It's just thick and wiry and frizzy, and it's a lot of hard work! Everyone's like "Oh my God, I wish I had an afro" and I just give them the look and say "Do you really?" which makes them realise how much high maintenance a fro really is! But I do love it because it makes me who I am!

Do you dye it yourself or do you go to a salon?
My hair's natural colour is dark brown, but it get's light brown highlights in the summer. I don't dye it but I've gone through many phases when I've wanted to dye it. I've wanted my hair black, blonde, caramel, pink. Literally every colour you can think of! Lucky I didn't act on it though, I'd have looked awful!

Do you wear the same hairstyle every day or do you change it up?
Well usually I wear variations of the same style, because at my school we have to wear our hair up all the time. I generally wear my hair in buns, ponytails or plaits at school but at home I wear it either down in curls or down and blown out or straightened.

Do you do your own mani/ pedi or do you got to the salon?
I am obsessed with painting my nails and I do it whenever I can, Last year I use to get them done all the time, but now that I've picked up the tricks of the trade I can do it myself for a fraction of the price.

How often do you change your polish?
At my school we aren't allowed any nail polish whatsoever, but I sort of bend those rules and wear a nude polish every day. I haven't had bare nails since Christmas! But in the holidays I tend to paint my nails between 3 and 4 times a week, depending on the durability of the polish. I can't have chipped nails!

Do you polish your toes in the Winter?
Of course! Even tough people argue that no one sees my toes, I see them! I have my toes painted all year round, usually darker shades in the Autumn and Winter, pastel shades in Spring and bright eyecatching colours in Summer.

How long does it take for you to put on make up in the morning?
Well I don't actually wear much make up since I'm a strong believer in natural beauty. I use make up to enhance my feature and nothing more. On a typical school day, all I do is apply a tinted moisturiser or BB cream, put on some powder to give a matte finish and curl my eyelashes. All in all, that simple morning routine takes around 15 minutes, so not long at all!

What do you do first, face or eyes?
Face!

Do you collect make up?
Not intentionally, but I do tend to buy lots of items that I don't really need! Oh well, at least I get more Boots Advantage Card points!

How often do you wear falsies?
I have never ever worn false lashes, but I'd love to try them out one day.

Do you wear a full face of make up every day?
No,  I rarely go all out to be honest!

Do you wear make up when you are home alone?
No way! My home alone OOTD is unwashed hair, tracksuit bottoms, pyjama top and bedsocks!

Will you leave the house without make up?
I will leave the house without make up but not without eyeybrows.

How many high end products do you have?
Very little I can tell you that! I have a few Clinique palettes and Benefit They're Real mascara, but that is my previous little!

Do you plan your OOTD they day before?
On a weekend, no I don't, but for a special occasion or non uniform day I do.

How often do you change your bag?
Ha! Once a week! Only kidding! But no, I do love bags and I love to change them, so I do that whenever I feel the need. Maybe once a month or so.

What time do you go to bed and wake up?
Well I usually go up to bed between half nine and ten on a weekday, but never end up sleeping until about half ten, eleven. Sadly, I wake up at six because I take a very long time to get ready in a morning.

How often do you work out?
At least twice a week, but I do a few extra fitness classes as well.

Left or right handed?
Right handed

How tall are you?
I am five foot four and a half.

Do you speak any foreign languages?
Well my dad is from a French speaking country, so I speak a little French, I also speak Slovenian because my Mum's from their. I do Latin so I can understand a bit of that, and I take Spanish as one of ny GCSEs.

Any pets?
No, sadly not.

How often are you on Blogger?
I read new blogs daily, and I frequently upload to this one, especially since I'm doing the Summer Journals which take place every day throughout the summer holidays.

Do you read comments?
Yes I read and reply to every single comment that is posted on my blog, and I love to comment on other people's blogs as well!

Do you keep a wishlist?
I don't keep an actual wishlist, but I do have a poster wall ( which is almost done by the way) that has pictures of everything I find pretty and that I want.

How did you come up with your blog name?
Well I've not had this blog for long, but I basically wrote down everything my blog was going to be about so fashion, beauty, food, craft and lifestyle and then sat for two hours! Originally it was going to be called Little Miss Lifestyle, but that was already taken, so Little Miss Life was born!

What's your favourite colour;
Orange!

Do you swear?
I try hard not to!

What are you doing with the rest of you day?
Clearing up the rest of my room!

See you guys tomorrow!

Lots of Love
Eva

Summer Journal #3 Lie In, Home made lunch and DIY Necklace Stand

Its Sunday today and on Sundays I relax.

I had a nice long lie in until around 10 and then started my day! I stayed in again today and did a bit more work on my collage wall ( it's looking pretty good now actually) which is still only about four feet long but it's definitely making steady progress. Judging by my rate of labour, I'd probably say that my room will finally be ready to film some time next week. Yay!

All I really did so far today was do some laundry to make my closet look presentable and eat lunch. I'm not going to bother showing you any pictures if beautifully folded crisply ironed shirts, but I will show you my delicious lunch which I made by myself thank you very much.

Cheese toasties though... Wow, just wow. The melted cheese, the crispy bread. Seriously the best lunch you could ever imagine eating.

My cheese toastie was made from nutritious organic seed loaf, with some mild cheddar. I just whacked it in the toastie machine thing and five minutes later I have a sandwich to die for.

It makes me cry just thinking about it.

So currently I am sitting outside soakin up a little more sun but it's only 3 o'clock so the day is young, and who knows what else I might get up to. I have just finished a homemade frozen yoghurt Popsicle which was very yummy by the way.

I made this by just pouring some Greek yoghurt into the mould then adding a couple of rolos. I did this yesterday, so I put it in the freezer and today I have some lovely ice cream!

I also took a nice tumblr photo a few minutes ago of me sat outside.

My jeans are from Primark and my shoes are from Geox. In the above picture my nails are Astor.

That is all I've gotten upto so far today, but I have a couple more things I want to do, so I will definitely update. See you in a bit!

Later

So it's much later in now (about half eight) and I'm about to go and watch the World Cup final which I've recorded. I'm rooting for Argentina to win so fingers crossed!

Last time you saw me I was outside in my garden at lunch time, and not much has happened since then. I did paint my nails in my new Blueberry Pie colour and will be posting a review on that either later in today or some time tomorrow. Just to give you a sneak peek, this is what it looks like.

It's quite pretty right?

So after I did my nails, I did a bit more on my wallpaper. It is currently 2m long and my wall is 2.5m tall so not long left! It is definitely taking a long time to make this, but hopefully it will be worth it in the end!

After I couldn't take any more collating, I decided to do another DIY mini project  and made a nice necklace stand. I don't actually own one of these, and you guys know that when I don't own something, I make it. So all I did was take a cling film roll tube, covered it in my left over pretty adhesive paper and bashed a few nails in it. Ta da! DIY Nail Polish Tree.

What do you think? Will you be trying this  out at home?

Hope you enjoyed this post! See you tomorrow!

Lots of Love

Summer Journal #2 Chilling, Poster Walls and Mini Magnums

Hello beauties!

Day 2 of my Summer Journal today and I'm sorry to disappoint but I didn't do anything fun like get Bubble Tea or get shopping today. Even though the sun is still shinning here in England I stayed in the house like a loner with no friends. Pity me.

I did have good reason though, because I have a mini project that I am trying to achieve. I'm making a collage wall for my bedroom.

Sort of like this one I found on Google Images

It's only going to be small and it took me a really long time to decide which wall to do it on. My room is weird because there a total of eight walls to choose from due of all the nooks and crannies, and it's an attic bedroom so the walls slope which makes it even harder. Luckily for me thigh, I have chosen a small wall next to the door, which I will have as a sort of centre piece/ focal point in my bedroom.

So, I've been collecting magazines for weeks now and cut out all my little pictures this morning. I have chosen to put on things that inspire me and things that I like, so I've got some yummy food, Celebrities, fashion, nail polish and random stuff like that. There are two flaw to my grand plan though: number one is my mum.

She says that since we've just had the house decorated ( painted a very boring Dulux Bright Brilliant White) I can't stick the pictures straight onto the walls. Which is quite understandable, but still it is a pretty big setback. So yesterday I bought a huge roll of cartridge paper from Poundland (I know right!) and have decided to stick the pictures to that, and then pin the paper to the wall. Hopefully it will work just as effectively, if it doesn't I shall cry.

Number two of my complaints about the project is the fact that I had no idea you needed so many pictures. Like, I'm going to have to buy the July edition of every magazine in WHSmith. Literally. I have used up about 8-10 magazines and this is where I'm at so far:

Yes, I've got a lot more work to do.

Despite my complaints, I am still having loads of fun doing this, and will definitely show you it when I've finished!

Since I spend a good 4/5 hours doing my wallpaper, I don't really have much time to do anything else but I did eat Mini Magnums with my younger sister.
How delicious. Vanilla icecream with chocolate cubes and strawberry compote covered with a thick coat of dark chocolate.  Mmmn I want another! The good things about Magnum Minis is that they are big enough to enjoy, but small enough to fit the whole thing in your mouth with one lick. Heaven.

The other thing that I did that is worth mentioning is that I made little frozen yogurt pops. We had some Kit Kat Pop Chocs yoghurts in the fridge and they are going out of date tomorrow, so I came up with the ingenious plan to freeze them in ice lolly form! I don't have a picture of them now since they are currently in the freezer, but if they are successful, I will show you them tomorrow.

Hope you enjoyed this short little post. I've just realised that the only thing I'll be doing this summer is eating ice cream in my bedroom. Oops! See you tomorrow.

Summer Journal #1 Shopping in the Sunshine and Bubble Tea

Yay!

Last day of school today! No more teachers, lessons or uniform for another eight weeks! I have been waiting for this since September and I'm not going to miss school one bit! Ok so that's a lie, I will miss some lessons and a few of the nice teachers and even the comfort of knowing what to wear every morning. However, I was very sad to say goodbye to my friends ( I don't know why though gas I'm seeing them next week!) and my form tutor.

It was especially emotional as next year we have no classes together as a form not even PE or PSHE, which is really sad since our form has done a lot of bonding over these past few years. We will be spending less time with each other next year, so today was special when we took form selfies and had fun as a form.

After 3 and a half hours of assemblies, house quizzes and an extended form period, it was time to say goodbye and hit the town! My friendship group decide to walk into town, (which took absolutely ages, I don't know what were thinking), and do a little bit of shopping. I don't get loads if stuff as my room decorating is taking quite a big chunk out of my money, but I did pick up a few little things.

First of all we went for a drink. Usually we just head to Starbucks and I get my usual Tall Iced Cafe Latte ( the best) and that's it. However today we thought we'd switch things up a little bit and go to a little cafe called Bubble Tea. Now I'm not sure if Bubble Tea is just in my town, but it's so good they should have one everywhere.

Basically, Bubble Tea is a green tea drink which you can get in any flavour, with lots of little popping 'bobas'. These are little round balls that are filled with juice and pop when you bite into them.

I got the lychee green tea with lychee popping bobas. You can mix and match you flavours and you can also get milk tea or black tea. They cost £3.50, which is a reasonable price for a medium sized drink with tons of bobas. Seriously, if you have a Bubble Tea near where you live, stop reading this and go and get some!

Magyar Bubble Tea we went round the shops a bit, tried on some clothes and chilled in the sun.

I bought a some nice blue nail polish ( I honestly think I'm addicted) from Poundland I know, can you believe it? Only £1!

I was originally just going to get some nail files, but I ended up buying tons of sweets, some wallpaper (I know right) and some nail polish. But no nail file!

I was just really attracted to this colour because it was just so bright and summery. What made me want it even more is the fact that it is called Blueberry Pie and it is scented! How amazing! I've not tried it yet because I had a manicure yesterday, but as soon as it chips I will do a full review on budget nail polishes and see if it matches up to its high end rivals!

In H&M I didn't end up buying any clothes. I just got two things from the novelty section.

I got this fabulous iPhone case for literally like 50p and got a matching one for my friend which has the other half on it! How cute are we! Seriously though, who can resist matching phone cases?

Next I got these matching nail files for only £1. They had a really cute pattern and I just thought, hey, why not? They were on sale and were 2/3 off which is a pretty sweet deal!

Finally is went to Primark and bought some shoes. You see, these were supposed to be a quick fix just for today since I got massive blisters in my DKNY trainers and just needed some cheap flip flops or something to ease me of my pain and misery. However, they had some really pretty stuff there, so I got these really nice sandals, which I will definitely wear more than once.

I love them. They are really comfy and are a nice nude colour. I love the diamanté and gold detailing on the strap and they were only £4! Absolute bargain!

So that was my day!
