Blanket Wraps

Hi guys, it's Wednesday now, so we're halfway through a very busy week! I for one have been extremely busy as I have had 3 exams to revise for as well as an English controlled assessment! Luckily today I have had a little window in my day to do a bit of blogging, which I feel I haven't done for a REALLY long time.

It's my birthday on Monday where I will be 15, and one of the few things on my birthday list has been one of this season's new must have items. The famous blanket wrap! So what better thing to do than write a list of my favourite ones on the market!

The first one on my list is this traditional tartan blanket wrap from New Look priced decently at £20. I love the simple pattern and this piece will definitely go with any casual outfit.

This next piece is also from New Look and is also £20. The colours are a lovely mustard and grey which work well together. I would probably wear this wrap with some black leggings and Doc Martens, but not with anything too colourful that would detract from this wonderful piece.

This wrap is from Marks and Spencer and is about £40. It's quite plain and doesn't have much pattern going on, and would be perfect with a patterned top and maybe medium wash jeans. It's not my favourite, but would definitely be a good staple to have as it will go with pretty much any outfit.

This is a slightly more expensive wrap priced at £250: it is completely out of my price range. It is by Michael Kors and is full fronted. This works as a sort of jumper and again I would 100% pair this with a simple pair of leggings or jeans.

I love this blanket wrap from House of Frazer (£45) because it has a really classy Burberry vibe at a small fraction of the price. It is very classic and should only be worn with some really simple tailored pieces, perhaps maybe greys and black.

So that was my blanket wrap wishlist, hope you enjoyed it and do tell me if you would like to see more fashion-y things like this. Also, I am planning to do a Polyvore on blanket wraps, so look out for that (and follow me of course) but if not I shall see you in my next post!

H&M Buy One Get One Half Price Jeans

Ok so I was in town yesterday, and I went into H&M (one of my absolute FAVOURITE clothing stores). I had a little browse, and then I got to the jeans section and almost screamed with delight.

They were having a Buy-One-Get-One-Half-Price Sale. Now, usually these types of sales don't really excite me that much, because it's like well, one pair of jeans will be £44, so add half price, and that's a lot of money spent on jeans. However, somehow in H&M these extortionate prices don't exist and I managed to get two pairs of jeans for £7.99 each. £7.99. I wish there was a button to capitalise numbers. £7.99!

These were the skinny low jeans, they were surprisingly good quality and come in a myriad of demim washes and colours. I picked up the black and the "denim blue" because they were colours that for some reason I didn't own till yesterday, but I am so happy because now I pretty much have every single denim shade in existence! Yay. And for a very small price!

So go quickly to H&M and grab a quick bargain before the deal runs out!

DIY Ripped Jeans

Second post of the day guys, hope you don't mind!

So I was in River Island the other day, and I saw a pair of ripped jeans, which I instantly fell in love with. The only problem however, was the price. At £44.99 they were slightly out of my tiny budget range especially for a pair of ripped jeans. I've never actually owned ripped jeans before, and I thought they were cool, but I wasn't going to be paying extortionate amounts for them.

Later that day, I was in YouTube watching a 5 Seconds of Summer interview, and I noticed that all the boys were wearing ripped jeans. I know its weird to take fashion inspiration from guys, but the jeans looked so cool and I do love a bit of 5SOS. This made me even hungrier for the pair in River Island.

So, I went down to my mum and asked her for an early birthday present (its my birthday on the 29th). This is how the conversation went.

"Mum, could I possibly have an early birthday present?"
"What for?"
"Some jeans"
" Why do you need more jeans? You've got loads. You bought a new pair last week!"
"Yeah, but these jeans are ripped jeans"
Then Mum stared at me for a while and said " Why would you need to buy ripped jeans? Back in the 80's we did it ourselves! Honestly kids these days!"

And then a lightbulb went in in my head. Not once did it cross my mind to make my own, so here's what I did:

Jeans: Primark
Boots: Hush Puppies

Back to School: Stationery Haul

Only one more day left until school and I'm actually quite excited for the first time in my life. I think the main reason for this feeling was because I went stationery shopping a few days ago which kind of put me 'in the mood'. I know tomorrow I will be crying about how horrible school is, and counting down until Christmas, but stationary shopping is something that I enjoy as I'm a bit of a pen addict.

I went to Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda  WHSmith, The Works, Poundland, Accessorize and Ryman to pick up my supplies ( all in one loooong shopping trip) but now I have everything I need to get back to school.

Are you ready to go back to school?

Lots of love
